The factory amplifier is located above and behind the glove box and is protected by a 25 AMP fuse labeled #36 that is located in the fuse box under the hood. *Wiring at both rear . You could rig on just the cone filter at the end and delete the stock air filter/box. But that wouldnt do much imho I believe the gain from a cai is more in deleting restrictive air hat and zig zag tube.

Coming from an 02 5.9L to the 08 Hemi is a big change. Question- This truck has the factory tow package. Where is the wiring harness for the Electric brake module? I have a chance to buy an '08 Ram 1500 with the 5.7 Hemi and 144k miles on it. I know the current owner well, and he says it's always been solid. My gearhead friend says everyone he knows with that gen 1500 has had electrical issues that were fixable but pricey. Having seen this, the only thing I would consider doing is opening the box from the bottom and gutting the inside. Then I would retro fit an eBay tube into there. Stock look with a smoother flow.
